Fellow Quilters,
This week, the 13th volume of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks hits the newsstand, and many of the designers featured in this issue (including yours truly!) are participating in the blog tour. I love, love, love these tours! I get to have a conversation with you, sharing some quilting ideas, and asking you to share as well. Your comments are such a pleasure to read. For many of you, as for me, quilting is a thread that joins many aspects of your life. Your quilts and stories inspire me. They motivate me to keep doing what I’m doing, and enjoy the process.
Over the past 4 months, quilting has taken me to the other side of the world and back. Hubby and I spent 7 incredible weeks touring just about every corner of New Zealand, visiting roughly 20 patchwork shops along the way. We then boarded a cruise ship for 2 weeks, and I was immersed in all things quilty as our Quilt Camp at Sea group sailed from Auckland to Sydney. Upon arrival in Australia, Hubby and I toured numerous wineries and quilt shops (seriously – does it get any better?!?) before heading to A Mountain Quiltfest in Pigeon Forge, TN for another quilt-filled week. After a couple of side trips (Memphis & Nashville), I headed to Paducah for 5 days at Quilt Week. Ohmygosh!! It is Mecca for quilters. My 2 colleagues and I met literally thousands of quilters in the Northcott booth, and shared quilting tips, inspiration, fabrics and stories with them. So much fun!
So, what does any of this have to do with jewels, you ask? Well, New Zealand is a jewel of a country. Yes, I know that for most of us, it is a very long plane ride away, but it is worth every minute. I highly recommend adding it to the top of your bucket list. It is spectacular, and has inspired a few more quilts to be added to my To Do list (I may need to take a landscape quilting class first).
In Australia, I was hoping to acquire a pair of opal earrings to replace the ones I lost. Alas, I came home without any new earrings. Perhaps a return trip is in my future.
During all of my travels this year, I have met countless delightful quilters and quilt shop staff – all jewels!
Oh yes, and my block in “100 Blocks Volume 13” is Jaded Jewels,
called this because it looks faceted when shades of one color are used for
the prism-shaped pieces. I really like color – all colors – and I think I own more turquoise-colored jewelry than any other color. Naturally, I chose the turquoise, or peacock, colorway of Artisan Spirit Shimmer for my block. With 9 different values from light to dark, it was easy to create my block, choosing 6 of my favorites. This block is much easier than it looks, and I had it sewn together in no time. I even came up with a couple of quilt ideas:
Above is a lap-sized quilt, and below is a bed runner. I am really liking bed runners these days – they keep my feet and shins toasty without making the rest of me too warm.
Each of the bloggers participating in Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Volume 13 blog tour will be giving away a copy of the magazine. For a chance to win, please leave a comment on my blog, telling my about your favorite jewel or piece of jewelry. I will even include a bundle of Artisan Spirit Shimmer fabrics in your favorite color. To see all of the colors of Shimmer, visit Northcott – Shimmer .
Have fun visiting all of the other blogs, and please drop by again on Friday for another chance to win, when I do another post for the tour.
Cheers,
Patti
What a beuatiful quilt your block made! I have a moonstone ring my children gave me which I treasure.
The colour tones are gorgeous! My wedding ring is my very favourite piece of jewelry, not because of the tiny diamonds in it but because of what the ring represents. After almost ten years of being on my own again, I was given a second chance at happiness. I married the most wonderful honest, thoughtful man who was my best friend. This ring reminds me of how much love we have for each other and that we are now one.
My favorite piece(s) of jewelry are my wedding/anniversary rings. My husband and I are celebrating 35 years together this month and when I look at those rings I’m reminded of our history together.
I’m not much for jewelry but would certainly feel partly dressed without my wedding ring.
Congratulations on making the magazine!
My favorite jewels are not jewellery but my grandchildren. Each one is a unique jewel in their own way and love that about each of them, but if I had to have a real jewel it would be Diamonds. 🙂
Thank you for taking us along on your beautiful holiday!!
Having just returned from Hawaii, my favorites are the flowery earrings, besides my wedding ring of course.
My favorite jewelry is a pair of hummingbird earrings that my husband bought me. He also bought me a necklace with a hummingbird charm but the charm fell off. I felt terrible.
Well I have two favorite pieces of jewelry. One is my wedding ring which is a meditation ring which I custom designed it has silver base with two gold floating bands and another floating silver band with garnet stones inset. The other is just a silver puzzle ring that my niece gave to me cost under $50 but I love it just as much as my wedding ring.
Thanks for such a lovely post! I love all jewels, so can’t choose my fav!
Oh, thank you for the reminder about turquoise jewelry! I loved it when I was younger, but don’t own any right now. May have to remedy that!
My favorite piece I own right now is a blue topaz ring. Hubby gave it to me as a wedding present 25 years ago.
Hi, Patti. What a wonderful trip you had. My favourite jewels are pearls, my birthstone.
Your block works so well with the Artisan Shimmer and I am picturing it in rosy pinks.
Christine from Ontario
My favorite piece of jewelry is an opal ring that my grandfather gave my grandmother when they were both young
nice block. lovely colors
I love your block and the quilt! So beautiful!
My favourite jewelry is my wedding ring too. It is normally the only jewelry I wear. But I have a ring, which I treasure very much. It is a silver ring with a glasstone which is filled with tiny beads which form flowers and it reminds me of my Mum who gave it to me.
I like all gemstones. My favorite pieces of jewelry are my wedding rings. Yes, plural. The first one had to be cut off when my hands and fingers swelled too much due to an allergic reaction. We took the stone from that and another stone I had and had them put into a new setting. When that one couldn’t be resized anymore, my hubby bought me a new one for our 25th anniversary. We will be celebrating 33 years of marriage this summer.
I have a silver chain from tiffany that my husband got me for or silver wedding anniversary. This year will be our golden one but all I want is for both of us to be healthier. Getting old has it challenges but quilting helps make those less daunting.
I love your block! I am drawn to all jewel tones, but I think my favorite jewel is the emerald. Thanks for sharing with us!
I love Opals and Sapphires. Congrats!
Favourite jewels…can’t decide! The pearl earrings I got from my father when I was sixteen? The diamond I got from my hubbie when we got engaged or the emerald (my birthstone) I bought myself when we visited St. Lucia for our 30th anniversary? All are beautiful and very special to me! Love the shimmer fabric you used in your block!
Diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, tanzanite, oh I could on and one. I don’t wear a lot of jewelry, but I do love it.
I love Blue Lagoon colorway! My favorite jewelry are my rings- wedding and engagement!
congratulations. your block is fantastic. i love how the different fabrics make it jewel like. great job. my wedding ring is my favorite piece of jewelry. I love opals and how they reflect colors around them. right now i really am into blues.
I so love your block in peacock shimmer fabrics. I love the shimmer’s but peacock pack is my fav. I loved Stonehenge fabrics but the shimmer’s are just hard to resist when I see them. I love all the jewelry my husband has surprised me with in his travels, but my favorite is my gold lighthouse pendant he surprised me with on our 35th anniversary. I had seen it in a designer’s shop in Door County Wisconsin and knew it was too expensive for me, He apparently called and purchased it after we got back home from our trip. I still can’t believe he did that.
Patti, The block is really interesting and in one of my favourite colourways. My jewellery piece is the sapphire and diamond ring that my husband gave me for our 50th wedding anniversary last summer.
I’m not one for wearing much jewelry but my diamond and sapphire wedding ring is my most treasured piece. Congrats on having your block included in the Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks issue. It’s a fun block for a quilt.
My favourite jewel is the amathyst. Love the colour!
I am not a huge jewelry person, but I have my grandmother’s engagement ring which I adore! I do enjoy looking at beautifully colored jewels though- the colors are so amazing!
I love each piece of jewelry that my sweet hubby has given me over the years. My favorite is a ring that is probably called an anniversary ring. It is simple but I love it.
Your block is beautiful!! Love the way you put it into a quilt and table runner!! Thanks for sharing. My favorite color is purple. My favorite piece of jewelry is a diamond necklace that my husband got for me. We hand picked the diamond and the setting.
I have a band that I wear on my finger that has little diamonds on it that I bought for myself. Because I could not get my ring off my finger, my now divorced husband cut the right off me. He tried to fix the right but he really just destroyed the ring. I am now involved with another man who took the same ring and took it to a jewelery and he did a wonderful job re-fixing the ring for me. This ring means a lot to me because of what this ring went through and I just love the gold band with the tiny diamonds. You have a beautiful block and just love the fabric. Good name that you have chosen. Thank you for being a part of QM’s 100 Blocks and giving us the chance to win that wonderful magazine as well as that fabric.

The layout makes the blocks very sparkly!
What stunning colors
I have one ruby ring, my birthstone, that is a treasure
I love the colors of your block — in addition to jade, it reminds me of turquoise. My favorite piece of jewelry is a bird pin my son gave me for Mother’s Day.
I love turquoise, both the color and the jewel.
Gorgeous block!! Love your design!! I have several pieces of jewelry that I love – Turquoise from the Southwest is very special!
Love how your block looks in the quilt and bed runner. My favorite jewel color is sapphire blue!
Your block is great! I would love to travel to both New Zealand and Australia, maybe one day in the future. My favorite jewel is a ruby, I love the deep red color. Thank you for the giveaway.
My favorite piece of jewelry is my wedding ring set. Your block is very pretty especially in those fabrics!
Being a June baby, I love pearls and alexandrites. I love how the alexandrites can change color from purples to pinks. That would look great in your pattern, too! I’m inspired by the bed runner — right now the blanket is too much, but I do like my feet warm!!
Thank you for the chance to win!
I am always partial to the ruby, my birth gemstone, but secretly I love the deeper red of the garnet!
What a beautiful quilt. The color is really a jewel. I’m partial to sapphires because of that sparkling blue. rmgsummers @ yahoo . com
My favorite piece of jewelry is a silver necklace from Tiffany that my husband got me for our silver wedding anniversary. Our Gold is coming up this fall. How lucky you were to see both New Zealand and Australia. We had a wonderful trip to Australia and wanted to return to New Zealand but it was too hard a trip to do twice.
My favorite is Sapphire which is also my birthstone. crystalbluern at tds dot net
My favorite jewels are my two wonderful daughters – they have been a blessing to me and have now given me two more jewels – my sons-in-law! Hope to add more jewels (grandchildren) someday as well. My favorite piece of jewelry in a ring my husband surprised me with about 11 years ago. He hates to shop, so it meant so much that he went and picked something out for me!
My husband bought me an opal necklace for an anniversary one year. I never stop wearing it.
I have a favorite blue topaz ring because of the ocean blue color and it’s sparkle.
Love your Quilt/Throw! Would be nice in Blue Lagoon too! 🙂 My favorite piece of jewlery…is a small ring, with rose on it..given after our 21 yr old Son died in a car accident. He always drew Roses…& my Husband gave me the ring that year, for Christmas….”from” Jake. A Treasure to this Momma’s Heart. 🙂
Thank you for chance to win your Give-a-way too! 😀
Ruby is my favorite..
Garnet is my first choice, as it is my birthstone, but I also like rubies. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

As I’m from Idaho, the Star Garnet is the most famous gem from the Gem State. Thus, when I looked at all choices in the Shimmer collection, I thought Sunglow would set your design up very nicely!
My favorite jewel is my wedding ring. When my husband and I got married (43 years ago) we had god filagree bands. On our 25th wedding anniversary, we had a diamond added to my band. That was pretty nerve wracking. What if I didn’t like it? Or it looked like it was added? Well, it came out beautiful and I love it.
I’m a geologist so I prefer rocks to gems. However, if I can’t have a nice piece of labradorite, then I do like garnet!
OMG I love your block and the colors you used! Beautiful! Blue is my favorite color so the Aquamarine is my favorite jewel. Thanks!
Love your block! So many possibilities. Your travels look amazing.
When my mom and I took a vacation together, on an impulse she bought a sterling silver ring for herself–an indulgence that was unusual for her. Now that she is gone, I wear it every day, a treasured keepsake and a remembrance of a time together, just the two of us (and my dear dog Dusty).
love the blocks and the fabric.. I don’t have any actual jewels.. but my 2 daughters, 3 grandcuties and 1 great grand daughter are my true jewels…
My favorite color is purple, so of course my favorite jewel is amethyst!
Thank you for the idea of using a bed runner to cover just the leg- I need to do that!
My favorite piece of jewelry is my wedding band set…after many years and 2 failed marriages, I finally found my soulmate. My favorite color is purple and come July another granddaughter will be born and her name will be Amethyst.
Love your block! It makes a beautiful quilt. I love it using different shades of the same color.
My favorite jewel is my birthstone, an emerald. Maybe that’s why I love your color choice, hehe.
Thanks for a chance to win.

I love amethyst it’s my baby girls birthstone….. happyness04431@yahoo.com
My favorite jewel is amethyst, I just love the color!
I like your block; kind of reminds me of Baggett cut stones; which I like! My favorite stone is Star sapphire of which I have 2 now!
My favorite jewelry are my wedding/anniversary rings. All the fabric colors are beautiful. Congratulations on your block being selected.
Many years ago, when my Mom died suddenly, my Dad had the diamonds from her tennis bracelet set into new pieces of jewelry for my sisters and I. In addition to being a beautiful piece of jewelry, it is my favorite for the memories of my Mom associated with it.
My favourite piece of jewelry is my engagement ring. I lost the diamond out of it and my husband secretly had it replaced. He had worked extra shifts to pay for it. Not only is it my favourite piece of jewelry but my husband is a gem as well.
My favorite piece is a necklace my husband gave me for our 7th aniv. an opal horseshoe with an amethyst in the middle.
Such a pretty block. I love the Shimmer fabric, Blue Lagoon.
I cherish my wedding ring!
I’ve always loved pearls. They are so classic and go with anything. You can dress them up or dress them down. Wow! I looked at the Northcott Shimmer colorways. They are all beautiful, but I really liked the warmth of Sunglow. 🙂
Love your jewel block. My favorite is a necklace my husband had made for me from his grandmother’s diamond ring. It was all a surprise!
I like ruby as a favorite jewel.
Diamonds are a girls best friend, and also my birthstone. I wouldn’t turn down any jewel.
My favorite is a pair of opal earrings I bought in the Cayman Islands while vacationing there. Hope you’re able to replace yours soon!
I love your block, it comes together so beautifully. My favorite jewelry is my antique emerald engagement ring.
Lovely Block!! My favorite piece of jewlery had to be a tourquise necklace given to me by my mentor Patricia. She always brought animal energy and stone energy into use when doing healing. I treasure that necklace with its lovely little carved animals.. I truly miss her!
Actually, your quilt and bed runner remind me of a bracelet I bought at the Cameron Trading Post in Arizona. It is opal and onyx (jet?) set in silver that I purchased for myself to celebrate a significant birthday several years ago. I have always loved turquoise as well.
My favorite jewelry is a pair of pearl earrings my mother gave to me. I wear them when I want to feel her close to me. I love that your referred to the people you met as jewels; that’s lovely.
like your jaded jewels runner! marvelous block! my birthstone is my favorite jewel … an aquamarine pendant, one of a kind, large emerald cut in a setting made for an exhibition.
What an interesting block! The Jaded Jewels block is perfect for a bed runner. My favorite piece of jewelry is my wedding ring.
Love all the colors in your block, blue lagoon is my favorite color.
I love the opal with all the shimmering colors imbedded in it.
Thanks for giveaway.
Great block and the jewel tones are beautiful. Love the turquoise. one of my favorite pieces of jewelry is a garnet ring from my aunt.
My birthstone is opal and I, too, lost one of the earrings I had. I still have two opal rings that I wear from time to time. Love your block and the colors.
joyecox@yahoo.com
Love the Jaded Jewels blocks. I love the jewel tone colors, so rich in color. I have plenty of jade jewelry, I use to sell it. My fave is my fire and ice ring, a heart shaped ruby surrounded by diamonds.

I love your block. my favorite jewelry is a cross necklace.
your block made a nice quilt…lately I lake bracelets : silver, cooper..thank you
Thank you for a chance to win. I love the blue color fabrics. My favorite piece of jewelry is a promise ring that my boyfriend (now my husband) gave me in high school.
Your block is awesome. I love how it plays when put into a quilt or bed runner. I have three favourite jewels–my husband, my son and my daughter. They mean more to me than anything. Thanks for taking part in the blog hop. This hop is my favourite. So much inspiration.
My favorite piece of jewelry is my wedding ring. I also love opals, as that is my birthstone.
Love your Artisan shimmer Jaded jewels block. Bed runners are a great use of these fabrics. My go to piece of jewellery are my opal earrings.
Great block! My friend was working with those very same fabrics at a guild retreat this past weekend and they are beautiful! I have a garnet ring that belonged to my grandmother that I dearly love!
Love my gold charm bracelet. Enjoyed your presentation at the Slope to Shore Quilting Guild.
I’m not a big fan of jewelry, but I do wear my wedding band. 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway.
My favorite piece of jewelry is my engagement ring. My husband & I will celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary this month. Love your block. Thanks.
Wow! you have had a fabulous year of traveling and it isn’t even half over yet. My favorite piece of jewelry is a freshwater pearl ring I bought at an art and wine festival over 35 years go. Since then I’ve had the jewelry design make me earrings and a necklace to match. All splurges but I love them.
Besides my wedding and engagement ring I’d have to say it’s my silver “lacemaker” ring. Okay, so quilting is not my only passion 🙂
My favorite piece of jewelry is probably a gold pin, shaped like a curly feather with some dangly feathers beneath. It always looks stylish–and unique.
My dad bought me a turquoise bracelet when I was a youngster and that was before it became real popular, otherwise quilts are like jewels to me. Thanks Kathy in colo
I gave all my jewelry to my daughter some time ago. She loves to where jewels I don’t. I did however keep a pearl necklace my husband gave me some 40 years ago. I love your block. It has a hidden shine.
I had a necklace made using the engagement diamonds from my mom and grandmother; it feels special everytime I wear it. I love all the shimmer colors.
I love my Claddagh jewelry. A Claddagh is an Irish wedding ring. Two hands for friendship, cradle a heart for love, and the heart is crowned, for fidelity and loyalty. really beautiful. so much, that I named my own quilt blog CladdaghsQuiltsandStars. my husband was born in New York and nearly all his grandparents immigrated from Ireland. I love the design and the symbolism.
reillyr2(at)hotmail(dot)com
My favorite jewels are diamonds (birthstone), opals and turquoise. I also like the purple stone amethyst.
Thank you for sharing with us! I do love my jewellery, but I would have to say that my most loved gem was my Mom. Even more now that she is gone. I will miss her forever, but I shall try to always make her proud. That shouldn’t be too hard, because she loved just about everything I do with my quilting. Her favourite colour was pink and she even had the shimmer in her stash 🙂
Wow! That’s a great block. My favorite piece of jewelry is my latest piece…my DH gave me and eternity ring for our 25th wedding anniversary…since he said being married to him for 25 years must be like an eternity! Congrats on getting your block in the magazine.
My favorite jewelry is my most recent piece…an eternity ring from my DH for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. He said i deserved it since being married to him for 25 years must feel like an eternity! Congrats on getting your block in the magazine.
Beautiful colors in your block. That would be a fabulous bed runner. I love elephants so most of my jewelry is gold or silver elephants without jewels. My engagement ring has a beautiful diamond that originally was an earring belonging to my husband’s grandmother. The only jewel I really need!
I don’t wear jewellery, but I have a special ring that came from my great-granny, we think it was her aunt Jessie’s engagement ring.
My favorite piece of jewelry is a necklace made by women who have been rescued from human trafficking in Africa. It is a simple silver circle with the word “hope” cut out of the center. It reminds me that no matter how awful a circumstance we may find ourselves in, there is hope.
I’m not sure why but my comment doesn’t seem to be getting posted. I love my silver Tiffany necklace that my husband gave me for our 25th anniversary.
I don’t wear much jewelry, but I love the cross necklace my mom bought me for college graduation. Love your block and the color way. I also love Northcott’s pansy color!
Lovely block. Great idea for a vacation-cruising and sewing!
I don’t wear much jewelry since I retired. I have a chocolate diamond pair of earrings that I love probably because of the name. But mostly my wedding ring is my favorite since it has my husband’s and my birthstones incorporated into the setting. Too bad it is too small to wear. I guess I’ve been eating too much! kthurn(at)bektel(dot)com
Emeralds are my favorite jewels; my birthstone.
I love the design and colors of the quilt in this blog. My favorite piece of jewelry is a necklace my sister gave me years ago. It’s not fancy or expensive, but rather a pendant on a ball chain that she got at a farmer’s market. It features a four leaf clover, which is special to me because I have an uncanny knack for finding four leaf clovers, and because my sister gave it to me.
Congratulations! Your Jaded Jewels block is gorgeous…I love the colors! I am not much of a jewelry gal but I do love my pearls and sapphires.
I, too, love opals, but my favorite piece of jewelry has small blue diamonds. It is a one of a kind ring, and my husband bought it for me very spontaneously. Something we don’t do! It is beautiful and honoring!
I love my emerald necklace and earrings my kids gave to me on my 50th birthday! But I love sapphires and amethysts, too! Been getting into the turquoise lately, though. And diamonds are my birth stone!
I have a mothers ring with my four favorite jewels-diamond, emerald, sapphire and peridot.
My favorite jewel is opal which is my birthstone. My favorite piece of jewelry is an opal ring my friend gave me for my birthday. I love your quilt with the Peacock colorway but my favorite is the Sunglow colorway, reminds me of the fire in my opal. I love making quilts that look like sunshine!
Aside from my plain gold band wedding ring, which I have been wearing for almost 51 yrs., my favourite piece of jewelry is an opal ring which my DH gifted me one Christmas. Love your Jaded Jewels block, looks fantastic!
My favorite jewel is aquamarine. Thank you for sharing your quilt it is lovely.
My favorite jewel is aquamarine. Your quilt is lovely thank you for sharing.
I can’t wear jewelry, the metal makes my skin break-out. And I’ve tried just about everything and so far nothing works. I’ve got a nice pair of pearl earrings, that I would love to wear and can’t. Drats! I do love turquoise. It reminds me of the trips my husband and I used to take to New Mexico and Arizona. Rubies are pretty cool too.
My favorite piece of jewelry is a tanzanite pendant I had custom made more than 25 years ago. I always think of both my mother and my late husband when I wear it. I would love to win the blues in the Artisan Spirit line–already have a fat quarter pack but no quilter can have TOO much fabric. I love your block
Lovely block – my fav jewels are turquoises!
My favorite jewelry is a simple platinum & sapphire earrings and necklace set my hubby gave me for my 40th birthday. And of course our wedding bands, which feature a tiny diamond cross in the center of a heart.
I love working with Gemstone fabric and black background…….Amethyst purple is such an awesome color and garnet too…….hard to choose just one when all the gemstones look great in quilt blocks……
I have to admit, I love jewellery and jewels, stones of all colours, so picking a favorite would be tough. My husband doesn’t share my fondness for investing in beautiful jewellery so I tend to buy costume pieces, often from antique or thrift shops, and usually the type that are not…well, not subtle. I also have pieces that were my Mom’s and grandmothers that I love to wear. Your block is lovely and the fabric line is gorgeous. Congrat’s on being included in the magazine!
What fun your quilt is with it’s unique colorway…it just shimmers like the jewel it is. My favorite piece of jewelry is a native design made of silver made here in Alaska. I was in treatment for breast cancer and my husband bought it for me from another dear friend. It called Healing Hand and it must have worked, as I have worn it from 16 years and I am still here. Thanks so much for sharing your talents.
the pendant my husband gave to me many years ago…. one side ruby’s the other diamonds I lost it once at a wedding and was sick to my stomach But I got it back… This is my favourite piece of jewellery Thanks for your inspirations
Emeralds are my favorite gemstones probably because green is my favorite color. I love the colors you chose for your block.
I absolutely love your block in the colors you have chosen. My favorite piece of jewelry is a heart necklace with diamonds that my husband surprised me with for Christmas several years ago.
I love all jewel tones but my favorite are Sapphires since I love anything blue.
Along with my wedding/engagement ring, my favorite piece of jewelry is a ruby ring, which my husband gave me to celebrate our 40th. anniversary—who can fail to love a man like that?! WOW, you really had some travel adventures!
quiltschon@att.net
As a “winter” I love jewel tone fabrics even though I rarely wear any actual jewels anymore. My favorite jewelry is a collection of simple crosses: silver, quartz, Luray Cavern rock, amber, and handcrafted chainmail. My choice of the Northcutt collection would be hibiscus, pansy or peacock.
My favorite piece of jewelry is a pendant made for me by my husband. It represents me. Purple amythest for my head , clear thinking boack jade for my little black dress, green jade for my feet always being on the ground, a garnet “present” for the gifts i give to him and lets silver balls for my love of gardening. He made it for my bithday while I was shopping with a friend. It’s definately my favorite.
I love opals set in a ring surrounded by diamonds. My favourite is blue lagoon in the shimmer fabrics
My Diamond Wedding Ring is my choice! Love you quilt project! Thanks for sharing!
My favorite piece of jewelry is a ring with a rainbow array of 7 sapphires. Some people think it is a Mother’s ring. I want all my quilts to be rainbow. I’m a newbie.
I love freshwater pearls. So much variety can be found.
I love the colors and the simple yet elegant design!
I absolutely adore purples and blues, and artisan spirit is no exception. What a wonderful block and unique projects!
I love your block and your color placement! My favorite earrings are a pair of turquoise drop earrings.
Any piece of jewelry that has the color purple…my favorite color
I love amethyst stones! Lovely quilt and runner.
thanks!
Patti! I love the block with the terrific colour development!! It is so striking!!! Thanks – it is definitely going on my “to do” list!! I like many different “jewels” especially when they sparkle – some of my favourites are emeralds, sapphires and diamonds 🙂
I love amethyst, though turquoise is a close second. I love the look of the fabrics you used. And the bed runner is a great idea! Our feet are often cold.
My favorite piece of jewelry is a Black Hills Gold ring I bought 15 years ago. I wear it everyday and feel naked without it!
I love how your quilt just sparkles! Gorgeous!
Wow! You’ve really gone on some nice travels lately! I’m having such a good time visiting all the blogs on the tour. My block, Flowers for the Cabin, is also in Vol. 13 and I just love reading the story behind the blocks for the other designers.
The jewels idea is super creative!
I love the jewels idea!
I have a ring that belonged to my mom with her birthstone that she must have worn forever because the band is worn through.
I love the dreamcatcher block, and the dreamatcher and pinwheel quilt! The movement in the block is just joyful!
Besides my wedding ring my favorite jewelry is a tanzanite pendant in deep purple-blue not the pale tanzanite that is available now it’s set is white gold with diamonds around and I love it
my favorite jewel is the opal…it is supposed to be the mother of all the gemstones….so much color and fire in them!
My most precious piece of jewellery is my gorgeous diamond engagement ring chosen by my husband himself x
My favorite piece of jewelry is a necklace which symbolizes nurse’s caring.
Enjoy your blog and the lovely quilt. Turquoise is my favorite color but my favorite jewel is garnet which is my birthstone. I do not wear a lot of jewelry but one of my favorites is a silver and gold bracelet with blue sapphires. My coworkers presented this to me when I retired. I am very blessed to have worked with so many wonderful people at a job I loved.
I have a wonderful opal ring that has a shimmer in a milky background. Like these fabrics.
Living in the SW, I love turquoise
My favorite piece of jewelry is a silver ring with a turquoise stone done by a Navajo artist.
My favorite gem is the emerald. However, my favorite piece of jewelry that I own is a bracelet with a large piece of turquoise. It reminds me of my mom from whom I inherited it.
My favorite pieces of jewelry are anything with a Ruby, which is my name and birthstone. That is where my name came from. 🙂 And I am the owner of many pieces.
My favorite stone is Tanzanite. I like jewelry simple but classy. So.. send those blue fabrics my way.
